Kindergarten Enrollment Policy
A child entering kindergarten must be at least four years and nine months of age by the time school starts in September.
Before a child can be admitted, the following records must be on file.
- Physical examination.
- An up-to-date immunization record (including Hepatitis B). If the required immunizations are given, we must have a signed waiver (provided by the state).
- A preschool vision test.
- A preschool hearing test.
The immunizations, tuberculin test, and vision and hearing tests can usually be handled by the parents through your country health department at little or no charge.
